Blue Sky and Smoke
Both of these photos were taken from our front yard this evening. The one with the sun on the left side is to the northwest, and the one with the sun on the right is facing west. Hopefully, the fire is contained at Montgomery Woods. They were using helicopters again today, and also doing controlled burns. Notice there is blue sky above and the sun is coming down into the smoke, making a beautiful sunset.

Smokey Sunset
With danger sometimes comes beauty. Even though the fires are still raging in Mendocino County, beauty still shows her face. This photo was taken from the front of our home looking west to where Montgomery Woods is still burning. Montgomery Woods has 2 of the largest trees in the world...

A Terrible Beauty
I took these photos about 8 hours before the largest electrical storm in Mendocino County in anyone's memory. The sky was incredibly dynamic, and these photos on begin to capture the awesome beauty.
